Kozyard 12x16 aluminum: common questions
Is the Kozyard 12x16 aluminum any good?
With 5.2 out of 10, the Kozyard 12x16 aluminum ranks 36 of 38 in our comparison. Strengths: All aluminum, no rust, Published 65 mph wind rating. Weakness: Rope-operated louvers. Best for: A 12 x 16 patio in a moderate climate.
How big is the Kozyard 12x16 aluminum?
It measures 12 x 16 ft, which gives you 192 sq ft of shade. It stands 90 inches (7.5 ft) tall.
Does the Kozyard 12x16 aluminum need to be anchored?
Yes. A louvered roof catches wind like a sail when the louvers are closed. Bolt the posts to a concrete patio or footings with the anchors the maker supplies. Wind ratings assume it is anchored that way.
Can the Kozyard 12x16 aluminum handle wind and snow?
The maker rates it for 65 mph winds when anchored. We found no snow rating, so open the louvers or clear heavy snow by hand.
What warranty comes with the Kozyard 12x16 aluminum?
We found no written warranty on the listing or the maker's site. Amazon's return window still applies, so check the parts as soon as the boxes arrive.
How much does the Kozyard 12x16 aluminum cost?
The last price we saw was $2,048, about $10.66 per square foot. Prices move often and most louvered pergolas ship free, but check the delivery terms on a box this heavy.
